Healing Books
"Rossi is definately at the forefront of healing research. I would recommend all of his books. They can be very scientific and heavy going but well worth the read when you realise just how much you have learnt and how much you can apply to your work with clients." Dan
Describes the author's experience as a stroke victim and draws on his knowledge of neuroscience and other psychotherapeutic method to maximise his recovery.
Many of the hypotheses that Rossi proposed when this book was published in 1986 have now been confirmed. The mind-body connection is a process that can be seen, measured and accessed through hypnosis.
In establishing that it is possible to use the mind to heal body illness, he now brings together new evidence from psychoneuroimmunology, neuroendocrinology, molecular genetics and neurobiology.
More than a dozen new approaches to mind-body healing are outlined in a series of teaching tutorials.
"This book helped me while I was hospitalised following a road accident when I was focusing on how I could increase and improve my own self healing. This is also one of Rossi's easiest to read books." Dan
This text, the result of a collaboration between a psychologist and a gynaecologist, guides therapists and patients to finding the keys to their own health and well-being through therapeutic hypnosis.
A fascinating book on self reflection, dreams and the wonders of the mind. It is a very early Rossi book that keeps being re-released time and time again.
Another reasonably easy to read Rossi book. This is also a nice short length making it easy to finish and get out there and do the techniques with clients.
This book I (Dan) am fairly new to. I have seen Bruce's work before but not read this book. Terry has had this a while and thought I should check it out. I have been pleasantly surprised with much of the content. What I had previously seen appeared to be going down a 'pop culture' route that conflicted with evidence I knew from other sources including Rossi's work. The other bits of work also seemed to be scientifically unfounded. In this book much of it matches with what other authors and scientists say about topics like Epigenetics and Bioinformatics and in an easy to read style.
Through the research of Dr. Lipton and other leading-edge scientists, stunning new discoveries have been made about the interaction between your mind and body and the processes by which cells receive information.
It shows that genes and DNA do not control our biology, that instead DNA is controlled by signals from outside the cell, including the energetic messages emanating from our thoughts.
Using simple language, illustrations, humour, and everyday examples, he demonstrates how the new science of Epigenetics is revolutionizing our understanding of the link between mind and matter and the profound effects it has on our personal lives and the collective life of our species.
