and
'...the UK's leading personal development coach...'
He has helped people with a wide range of conditions both psychological and physical.
He has used his creativity to generate new techniques that allow for self-expression from each individual he works with. He has been working at creating a course that will allow others to be able to intuitively respond to their clients in the way that he responds to his.
He uses a keen sense of observation to notice the most subtle of cues and to look for patterns in non-verbal and verbal behaviour. He utilises these to work in a way that requires minimal information on the content of a problem by gaining a deep rapport with the client both consciously and unconsciously so that he can pick up on the structure of the problem and then facilitate the clients own natural healing abilities.
Dan acts as a guide for his clients, just keeping them on track and allowing them to work in their own unique way.
His training includes: EFT, various forms of meditation and various forms of hypnotherapy
He has worked with
www.themindlab.org one of Europe’s leading neuro-marketing & ‘in the field’ neurological monitoring companies set up by Dr David Lewis, one of the UK’s leading Neuro scientists.

Where did it all begin? (A Summary of Key Events and a Bit of History)
It all started back when Dan was about 8. He was small as a child and noticed that when he was in a group he would come up with good ideas but people would over look him and it would be as if he hadn't said anything. What he discovered was that people would often go with the ideas he said but that other people would get the credit. Instead of getting upset about this he noticed that people were doing what he wanted even though he wasn't getting credited for coming up with the ideas. He began to use this strategy on purpose to influence friends and others around him. This was his first encounter with what he would later learn was conversational hypnosis.
Dan also spent most of his childhood meditating in the woods and by the sea and allowing his mind to creatively wander.
When Dan was about 14 he saw Paul McKenna on television and was impressed with the apparent ability to make people do as he wanted. This sparked off an intense interest in Hypnosis and the power of the mind. Dan quickly learnt that the image portrayed of Hypnosis for stage shows was an illusion. What he discovered though was that Hypnosis was far more powerful than he had ever dreamt.
Dan read everything he could find on Hypnosis; most of which was Self-Hypnosis books and books of scripts. Dan devoured everything and tried everything out on everybody that he encountered. After a couple of months Dan had gone from just reading scripts to writing his own scripts. He began to help people to enhance their abilities and to help people to relax. His first case was to help someone to improve their ability to play pool. This turned out to be a resounding success. Dan was rapidly developing and refining his hypnotic abilities.
By 16 Dan had started to develop his own style; he started to work in Butlins where he had the opportunity to practice his skills further.
At 19 Dan began to study Ericksonian Hypnotherapy and began to learn how to do hypnosis without scripts. He began to video conversations that took place in his flat with his friends as a way of practicing and refining rapport skills and noticing what created influence most effectively. He also began to practice rapport and indirect influence skills in public and on public transport. He would sit on buses and pick someone to build rapport with and then work at generating a deep level of rapport followed by putting the person in an hypnotic trance just by using non-verbal skills.
When Dan was 20 he began to teach Hypnosis to others and to teach creative uses of hypnotic skills. He also begun to narrow his focus predominantly onto Ericksonian Hypnotherapy and Neuro-Linguistic Programming; learning the principles that would allow him to develop his own style and approach to fit each individual rather than just learn the techniques or surface structure.
It was at this time that it became noticeable Dan was beginning to 'become hypnotic'. What he was learning was becoming a clear part of his personality and identity not just a skill he used.
It was also at this time that Dan was becoming known for his effectively rapid therapy and his performance enhancement skills.
At 21 Dan first created his 'Customer-Oriented Selling' training course where he would teach sales people how to sell hypnotically in a way that would make the customers want to buy and be happy with their decision to purchase. In the same year he create a course on 'Demystifying Hypnosis'. A course designed to teach people the basics in a day. He also created a 'Conflict Resolution' course; an 'Advanced Communication Skills' course and a 'Stress Management' course (later refined and advanced with the help of Graham Levell into something unique and still unrivalled in the world of Stress Management)
At 22 Dan began to set up group healing sessions like group phobia treatment sessions, relaxation classes and hypnosis training practice groups.
Over the next few years Dan's trainings and his developments in the fields of hypnosis and performance enhancement went from strength to strength. Dan began to write his first book. He created a training pack for Conflict Resolution and Managing Violence and Aggression. He developed this based on his training and experience as a qualified conflict resolution instructor teaching people how to manage high levels of violence and agression. His first book 'The Psychological Health Reference Manual' was finished in 2005 as was his 'Conflict Resolution Handbook'. He then wrote 'Advanced Communication Skills for Business Professionals' in 2006 and in 2007 he wrote his best selling book 'The Psychology of Big Brother' that was featured in the local and national press.
In 2004 Dan's training courses and practice groups increased to weekly. He also got into the mobile phone downloads market. He created a collection of self hypnosis, relaxation and meditation downloads. These downloads were small enough to be able to be downloaded directly to the 'new' 3G mobile phones. This became most popular with commuters that would want to de-stress after a hard days work. 2004 was also when his live podcast went online (currently in the process of being relaunched).
In 2005 Dan and Graham Levell created the worlds first (to our knowledge) 'Mobile Live Hypnotherapy Podcast' transmitted interactively directly from courses, practice groups and a regular weekly interactive show (These live podcasts allow people to interact with the trainers like using 'Skype'). He also created a 45 hour audio downloadable Ericksonian Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy course and his popular 90 minute rapid induction training download.
2006 saw Dan work on a variety of media projects including the TV Programme 'The Anatomy of Fear'. He also had his work published in New Scientist magazine and BBC Focus magazine and his work was in a variety of local and national newspapers. Dan also created his leading edge 'Millionaire Mindset Program' and his popular 'Memory Enhancement Series' and his current top selling set 'Meditation Pack'
In 2007 Dan created his 'Accessing Universal Power' CD that instantly became a big hit with those wanting to utilise the law of attraction and the techniques contained within 'The Secret'. He also began writing Parts 3 and 4 of his 'Becoming a Brief Therapist' Series of books (released in 2008) and began work on his 'Intuitive Healing' Course.
2008 has been a fruitful and exciting year. Dan got together with Graham Levell and Terry Stewart to set up 'The Complimentary Healing Group'. For years Dan has been doing most of his therapy treatment sessions for free to people that can't really afford to pay, and now two other like-minded therapists decided to join him under a single label offering a free treatment service predominantly to people with cancer or arthritis and targeting enhancing people's natural healing abilities; helping with pain control and trauma (PTSD; Phobias) treatment. Dan also wrote his 'Spiritual Teachings of an Unconscious Mind' and 'Becoming a Brief Therapist: Performance Enhancement' Books and his 'Becoming a Brief Therapist: The Collected Works' Book. He also finished making his 'Intuitive Healing' audio course.
2009
He has continued to write for and work in partnership with a variety of magazines and continued to enjoy positive media coverage. His focus over the last few years has been very much on ideo-dynamic healing and hypnotic 'mind based' research as with experience he has realised the less he says and the more he just sticks to observation and utilisation the more effective therapy seems to become. It is from this dynamic shift in therapeutic approach seperating it apart from any other type of therapy; that has lead to Dan being called 'Mind Coach to the stars', 'personal development guru' and 'the UK's leading personal development coach'
So far in 2009 Dan has written a variety of short ebooks and been continuing to develop Utopian Tao as a way of sharing a positive message with the world about focused attachment and self expression to help create a better world for future generations. Dan has been going back to the roots of his identity and focusing on his core beliefs and allowing himself just to follow them and see where that path will take him.
To end 2009 Dan was interviewed for an Israeli TV and Entertainment Weekly magazine about Big Brother (see his facebook fan page for an English translation)
Dan also spent much of the year writing 65,000 words worth of information to create his Script Creator & Treatment Planner as a way of leaving a legacy for those that would like to work in a similar way to Dan and create scripts and treatment ideas based on what Dan does in sessions with clients to rapidly create change.
2010
Dan plans to retire from the 'Hypnosis World' in August of 2010 and will be wrapping up as that time approaches. Many of his products will stop being made available and he will significantly reduce his online presence.
Dan will be privately focusing on Hypnotic 'Mind based' Research and occasional 'Invitation Only' FREE courses that will take place in West Sussex, England (He will be still needing volunteers for his research projects). Dan will continue a blog to keep people up to date on the latest research and findings.
Dan feels the time is right now to bow out of the Hypnosis Arena. There are many wonderful; creative and experienced young therapists coming on the scene that can continue to post amazing hypnotic demonstrations for people to learn from and there are hundreds of exceptional therapists for clients to see. Dan's main passion is research and experimentation and making new discoveries. That is why his focus will be on helping the Hypnotherapy community from behind the scenes. Dan feels that to have time to do this he needs to reduce the dozens of hours per week he currently spends replying to emails and messages and comments.
Dan will be focusing on posting unique content and will remove many of his videos where he feels the information is already freely available from others and more on posting research results or unique demonstrations.
Dan has helped tens of thousands of people over the 18 years he has been doing Hypnosis and feels he can help more by advancing the knowledge and credibility of the field through research.
